Radiation monitoring and measuring procedures

Radiation monitoring methods and guides are to pass through metrological examination (co-ordination) carried out by the State research centers for Metrology (according to the measurement type) and receive approval from the authorized organization supervising the corresponding type of radiation monitoring.

The following documents are approved by the Gosstandart of Russia (Federal Agency for technical regulation and metrology) and can be used by accredited radiation monitoring laboratories:

• Guide to measurement of nuclides specific activity of a sample

• Guide to indoor radiation monitoring

Guides to measurements are to be certified according to State Standard GOST R 8 563-96. Requirements to the above guides are listed in Gudes to Measurement M� 2453-98.
